LOL! Karen, I'm sitting here and the neighbors must think I'm nuts cuz I'm crackin' up!!! I do have a fireplace where it will look just fab! ) I will probably put it in front of the fireplace after I have it re-done and no, I didn't loose a thing ) thank you!!Ĭaper, he's choking! OMG, your shark did get him! Ooooh nooo!!!! hahaĮven 1970s it's 50 years or so old, and looking good for it! Have you got a fire, or will this be a cat/dog barrier, or maybe a grandchild filter, or even a prosthetic tail for an unfortunate peacock? I did think the older ones had screens that were more solid. But still a very nice piece and still worth some money. Very beautiful tho and i like the handle. Yes there are quite a few, I would like to know which is authentic and or reproduction. Can you imagine trying to use this as a fan? LOL! I'll fix it right now. I didn't see yours but will take a peek at it.īonnie, I'm laughing at myself.I thought I did put that and then I looked again at the title and it only says fan. I have one posted like this-I think it is 60-70s timeframe! They are really cool pieces It's pretty awesome either way and will look much better in front of the fireplace than the black mesh (brass or iron) one that's there now! Is there someone here that can ID this piece. I did go on-line to check for any clues to help me identify this, only to be more confused, as usual! ) So that could mean it did come from the Art Deco era, right? There are Phillips head screws near the top holding the base together, I think that should have maybe been my first clue, am I right about that? (I just looked up Phillips head screws and they were invented in 1934). It is all brass and weights 10 lbs x 26 1/2" tall or 4.55 kg x 67.56 cm I hope those numbers are correctly converted. Has to be the camera, couldn't possibly be the operator)! (I have no clue why the 2nd photo looks so different. I'm thinking it most likely is but it's still pretty darn cool. So, I picked this up on one of my outings and only after I got home began to wonder if it's a reproduction or not.
